As part of our Environmental Policy, here at The Coventry Advertiser we
are committed to monitor and improve our environmental performance and
we aim to reduce our carbon footprint. With the right input and
co-operation of everyone within The Advertiser our contributions will
help us to reduce our impact on the environment.
The first step in this process is for us to understand and benchmark our
current performance so that we can identify areas for improvement and
develop appropriate environmental initiatives to tackle them. As a
start, we’ve developed a number of KPIs (Environmental Key Performance
Indicators), which are associated with the activities undertaken by The
Advertiser. They have been agreed by the Senior Management Board at the
recent Management Review and will be monitored monthly from April 2009.
Once the benchmarks have been set we will be looking for The Advertiser
team to assist with the implementation and development of environmental
initiatives.
There are a number of
ways we can help look after the environment
for ourselves and the future generations.
One way is the three R’s – Re-use, Reduce
and Recycle.
